Dry Desert
St. Paul's Bible Verse of the Week
He humbled you by letting you hunger, then by feeding you with manna... in order to make you understand that one does not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of the Lord.

(Deuteronomy 8:3)

Book of Common Prayer: The Lord is my strength and my song, and he has become my salvation.

CEB: The Lord was my strength and protection; he was my saving help!

NRSV: But he said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for power is made perfect in weakness.’ So, I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may dwell in me.

CEB: He said to me, 'My grace is enough for you, because power is made perfect in weakness.' So I’ll gladly spend my time bragging about my weaknesses so that Christ’s power can rest on me.
