SCHOLARSHIPS

Each year, St. Paul's offers scholarships to youth and adults seeking to further their formal education after high school.

Apply for a scholarship, or donate to the fund, below.

The Scholarship Committee will review applications in May and give out the awards on Senior Sunday in June.

SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION

The 2024 scholarship application process is open until Sunday, May 5.

 

The Scholarship Committee would like to invite all individuals who are continuing their education to submit an application. Scholarships are given out to active members of St. Paul's.

The application requires:

  • Details about yourself and the program where you'll use the scholarship

  • Information about your church activities at St. Paul's

  • Information about your activities outside of St. Paul's

  • One recommendation from an adult outside the parish (to whom you are not related)

  • An essay (1-2 pages, double spaced, Times New Roman font, 12pt font) on the impact St. Paul's has had on your life

SCHOLARSHIP TIERS

Scholarships are awarded based on your level of involvement at St. Paul's over the last four years.

Students may apply to receive the award for up to two years in a row.

Tier 1

Active membership

  • Youth: faithful attendance at worship and at least one class per month

  • Adults: faithful attendance at worship and fulfillment of their pledge

AND

At least one worship activity or committee membership

  • Acolyte

  • Usher

  • Altar Guild

  • Flowers

  • Reader

  • Bell choir

  • Choir (adult)

  • Counter (adult)

  • Eucharistic Minister (adult)

Tier 2

All of Tier 1 PLUS participation in at least two of the following:

  • Committee Member

  • Mission Trip

  • Pilgrimage

  • Fundraising

  • Additional worship activity

  • Participation in outreach

 

 

Tier 3

All of Tiers 1 and 2 PLUS active participation in one of the following:

Leadership roles, such as

  • Senior Acolyte

  • Committee Chair

  • Vestry (youth or adult)

  • Children's or Youth Formation Teacher

Outreach activities, such as

  • Additional mission trips

  • Additional outreach activities from Tier 2

  • Other outside outreach activities (be specific)

The below tiers will be used as criteria for awarding scholarships. Tier 1 is the minimum required and will receive the first level award. Tier 2 is the middle level award. Tier 3 is the top level award.
