CEB: The Lord your redeemer, the holy one of Israel, proclaims: I am the Lord your God who teaches you for your own good, who leads you in the way you should go.


The NRSV is the New Revised Standard Version, which is the academic standard for biblical translation. The Common English Bible is a more accessible translation. Both are approved for use during worship in the Episcopal Church.

Book of Common Prayer: Lead me in your truth and teach me, for you are the God of my salvation; in you have I trusted all the day long.*


CEB: Lead me in your truth—teach it to me—because you are the God who saves me. I put my hope in you all day long.


*The verse number in the Book of Common Prayer is 25:4. (Psalm verse numberings differ by translation.)
